A Sea of Tulips (ended)
#: May2023   ID:    Section:
Description:
Tulip..the flower of “passion.” We will start our day at the Richardson Farm before it opens to the public where you will have some time to shop the gift shop before our coach takes us to the 5-acres of Tulip Fields. There are 300,000 blubs consisting of 30 different varieties planted. 230,000 are in colorful blocks with a central design for pictures. 70,000 are mixed colors in a pick-your-own area. The tulips are planted on their own, private 36 acre lake for an absolutely beautiful setting.

Next, enjoy an included lunch in the banquet room at the Rivalry Alehouse along with a brief history talk of Antioch, Illinois and some the local shops and antique stores. Choice of entrée (due at time of making reservation): Meatloaf with seasonal vegetable and mashed potatoes OR Swedish Meatballs with egg noodles and seasonal vegetable OR Chicken Parmesan with past and seasonal vegetable. All entrees are served with coffee, tea or soda and dessert.

After lunch, you will get to explore the quaint shops and boutiques you have heard about during lunch. Then, we will meet up at Lovin’ Oven Cakery for a tasty pastry and coffee or tea before returning back to Wisconsin.
