Enjoy a day of food, scenic views, and entertainment as we cruise the Mighty Mississippi for an entire day from Hannibal, MO to Grafton, IL aboard the Celebration Belle!
3 Days: June 12-14, 2023
Day 1 Enjoy a boxed breakfast as we head south. Our first stop will be in the Quad Cities at a surprise attraction. Then, we will make our way to Hannibal, Missouri for our first overnight at the Best Western on the River. Dinner is included at a local restaurant.
Day 2 Board the Celebration Belle for an all-day cruise from Hannibal, Missouri to Grafton, Illinois. This event only happens once in every 5 years. It is not to be missed! Sit back and enjoy the views of the Mississippi River as you listen to the Captain’s Narration. Enjoy onboard entertainment as well as Breakfast, Lunch and the Celebration Belle’s famous Prime Rib dinner. Don’t eat Prime Rib? Don’t worry there are other options. See scenic vistas, wildlife and experience cruising through lock and dams. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating! Tonight, we’ll dock in Graton, Illinois where the motorcoach will take us to the Best Western Premier in Alton, Illinois.
Day 3 Today, we will tour the National Great Rivers Museum and Locks & Dam 26. Situated on the banks of the Mississippi River, this museum is dedicated to telling the story of the people, nature and wildlife that have shaped the mighty river throughout history. The museum is packed with 20 highly interactive and computer animated exhibits that illustrate the impact of the Mississippi River on the people and the region. Then tour the Melvin Price Locks and Dam which is considered by many to be a national marvel of engineering. Explore a number of displays showing how the locks and dam are used along the river and more! Return home with wonderful memories of cruising the Mighty Mississippi!
