Swim Lessons (Group)

Cambridge Pool uses the Swim Lessons University swim curriculum. This nationally acclaimed, award winning, progressive curriculum is fun and effective. Lessons are offered year round in both group and private lesson formats.

Advanced Strokes (301, 302/303)

Prerequisite: swim 25 feet of both backstroke and freestyle with side breathing.

Advanced Swim Strokes 301: 3-5 years old
Advanced Swim Strokes 302/303: 6-12 years old

The class will include instruction on butterfly and breaststroke kicks leading to mastering the butterfly and breaststroke.

Lifesaving Strokes (402/403)

Prerequisite: Swim 30 feet of both backstroke and freestyle with side breathing.

Lifesaving Strokes 402/403: 6-12 year olds

The class will include instruction on scissors kick, treading water and will conclude with mastering the sidestroke and elementary backstroke.

Parent & Me

Prerequisite: None

Parent & Me 101: 6-18 months
Parent & Me 102: 19-36 months

The class will be focused on basic water introduction, breath control, and fun!

Swim (101, 102/103)

Prerequisite: None
Swim 101: Ages 3-5
Swim 102/103: Ages 6 & up

Required equipment: Students must have a Power Swimr Flotation device (provided by the Cambridge Pool). This is a swim aid and used during lessons only.

The class will include instruction on front, back, and inline kick, breath control, dependent and independent pop-up breath.

Swim Strokes (201, 202/203)

Prerequisite: Swim 15 feet without the aid of a flotation device, face in the water, and breathing as needed.
Swim Strokes 201: Ages 3-5
Swim Strokes 202/203: Ages 6 & up

The class will include instruction on breath control, side breathing, refined front and back kick, leading to mastering the backstroke and freestyle.
